Eastern Banjo Frogs (Australia)

Also known as the 'Pobblebonk'.

A small ground dwelling frog, the Eastern Banjo Frog, or Pobblebonk is one of eastern Australia's most common frogs.

Originally, we thought these to be Eastern Common Froglets. When our first frog reached maturity and started to croak, it became obvious that they were Pobblebonks. They make a distinct noise, sounding very much like a banjo being plucked.
